Nocturne is a candlelight evening concert taking place during the International Chopin Piano Festival in Duszniki-Zdroj. The performances of the pianists are accompanied by a lecture on a selected subject connected with Chopin.
In 2017, August 8, the concert was lead by the outstanding Polish conductor Maestro Antoni Wit. He mentioned, among others, about performances with excellent pianists in Fryderyk Chopin's Piano Concertos. After the Chopin Competition in 2005 his winner Rafal Blechacz wanted to perform both Chopin's Concertos in front of his family audience in Naklo on the Notec River. The concert was held at the local church. In the city you could see many posters announcing the event. In the afternoon, Maestro Wit strolling with his wife through the park met several men sitting on a bench and drinking beer. At one point, one of them stood up, went to the conductor and called (raising toast):
- Maestro Wit! Welcome to Naklo!
